ABOUT THE STUDIO
The studio is an eclectic place. The studio is 120m2 with a complete collection of Pilates equipment (Reformer, Wonder Chair, Cadillac, Springboards, High Barrel and Cardio equipment). In the summer the doors are opened up to the outdoor garden and "Quince the hound" supervises from the couch year-round. The clinical vibration platform is used for releasing tension from the body and at higher vibration, strengthening muscles and increasing bone density. The bungees and aerial yoga swings add to the fun.
The studio is well known for its light-hearted approach and laughter, while creating strong and healthy minds and bodies. Programs are designed for the individual in the studio. It is up to the individual if they would like to be in a group class or private session
Body Balance Group sessions
Freya and her team will guide you in a group setting through a program designed for you. We cater to those who are looking for some fitness and laughter, assistance in injury recovery, pain management, pelvic floor conditioning, core conditioning, and breath dynamics. Group classes run for a duration of 60 minutes with up to 8 people attending per class. A whole-body workout is ensured.
Private sessions are also available. Please get in touch with Freya to book.
Myofascial release and Stretch
Myofascial release is a soft tissue therapy for the treatment of skeletal muscle immobility and pain. This method of therapy relaxes contracted muscles, improves blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulates the stretch reflex in muscles.
The class is 60 minutes of self-myofascial release using various tools such as balls, small rollers etc., combined with breath to release the fascia. The session will include stretches and strengthening exercises to balance the fascial release.
Dynamic rider
At Symmetry In Motion we take a scientific approach to equine rider fitness. The equestrian disciplines are dynamic sports. The equine is mobile underneath us and a sentient being, this must be taken into consideration with rider fitness.
Training with sport-specificity is well researched. At Symmetry In Motion, the rider dynamic class involves all of the aspects of a great rider. Riders must be elastic, stable, cardiovascular and ‘still in the mind’. As riders we must be at least as fit and well-trained as the equine.
